We are really proud of all our UK Breeders whose dedication, passion, and hard work keep the Friesian breed alive in the UK. Between them, there is a wealth of determination, knowledge, experience and passion which is the foundation of our Association. Our breeders strive to ensure that all stock excel at their inspections and find loving homes. We may not be large in number, but we do excel in quality.
Breeding Studbook Friesians is not a simple job. A lot of time, money and effort goes into choosing the correct stallions, for the right mares. It is our passion. We aim to keep inbreeding low and racial type high, whilst always putting the health and welfare of the foal first.
Due to Brexit, fresh chilled semen is not at this point available in the UK for a Studbook stallion. We have no approved stallions in the UK and presently have 2 choices – frozen semen, of which there are stocks in the UK, or transporting mares to Holland to get in foal.
When looking for a Friesian foal, please check for passports and KFPS breed papers (this is an official laminate – no others will be accepted).
