FHAGBI INSPECTIONS SUNDAY 14th SEPTEMBER 2008
This years Inspections will be held at Manor Grange Stud, Cobcroft Lane, Cridling Stubbs, Knottingley, Yorkshire WF11 0AZ commencing at 0900 am on Sunday 14th September. Two Inspectors and runners will be attending from the Netherlands.
Anyone wishing to have their horse Inspected should return the attached form by no later than 1st August together with the entrance fee of £50 per horse. Please note that no late entries will be accepted, as a catalogue is printed in Holland by the studbook and posted out to entrants.
Runners will be provided from the UK and Friesland to display the horses on behalf of any entrants wishing to make use of this service. These costs will be shared only by those members wishing to employ the runners. This cost will also be £50 per horse.
All horses should be registered in their owners name and the original registration paper is required to be handed in on the day of the Inspection. Anyone not in this position and wishing to enter their horse should contact FHAGBI as soon as possible.
All horses must have with them on the day of the Inspections an up to date vaccination certificate against equine influenza and be fully insured.
Limited overnight stabling will be available at the site, and other off site stabling will be suggested to entrants, detailed information and instructions will be provided prior to the event.
Admission to spectators will be £5, two free tickets will be provided per entry.
Following the Inspections owners will be provided with invoices for the administration costs and fees for example Inspection, Registration, Papers, Linear Scoring, DNA, and chipping where applicable. New registrations (eg foals) will be micro chipped at the time of the Inspections.
DNA testing will be required for some new registrations which will involve the taking of hair samples from the entrant and its dam and sire.

Bi-Boek II horses, i.e. those with a non approved (foalbook –vb) sire may now be presented for premium judging.

FHAGBI Friesian Riding Horse Classes Sunday 14th September 2008
Following the Inspections (14.30 approx) there will be a selection of Friesian Riding Horse classes, for mares, geldings and stallions to be judged by Miss Fiona Bubb. Anyone wishing to enter their horse in the Friesian riding horse classes should return the entry form no later than the 1st of September, together with an entrance fee of £5 per horse. The classes are only open to Friesian horses belonging to members of FHAGBI, however the classes are open to horses which are not participating in the inspection.
Please note the following;
~ Horses must be over 4 years old.
~ Horses must be fully insured and have with them an up to date vaccination certificate
against Equine Influenza.
~ English style tack, snaffle, pelham or double bridle.
~ Either plain showing jackets or tweed hacking jackets to be worn.
~ Riding hats with chin strap (BS EN1384, PAS015 or ASTMF1163) must be worn at all
times when mounted.
~Entrants will be asked to display walk, trot and canter as a ride, inspected for turnout,
then to do a short individual show of walk, trot and canter on each rein + reinback.
~ Rosettes will be awarded to 6th place in each class and a prize given to the 1st place
in each class.
FHAGBI INSPECTION SOCIAL and MEAL Saturday 13th September 2008
We are again planning to arrange a social evening with meal on the Saturday evening and hopefully will have a famous and very entertaining guest speaker from the equestrian world. Full details of this and local accommodation will be sent out to all members in the next newsletter and posted on the FHAGBI website.
